Lost in the Overgrowth is an album I've been carrying around with me for a long time. It was always intended for release, but got put to one side. Then, over the years, it was buried somewhere out there in the wildernesses of Real Life.

The songs were recorded around 2014 - 2015. In the Wild Island discography this album follows After Rain (2014). I had more or less finished recording it by 2016, when I met Matt and we began playing together as a duo. My musical energies and enthusiasms moved on and went into working with him, shaping what would eventually become Boar's Harp (2018).

And so, Lost in the Overgrowth became just that. Left where it was, ready and waiting to be found again.
